"I think something that helped me was just all the little sayings you have of staying relentless or a run being an opportunity not an obligation because a lot of running is your mindset and how you approach a race or a workout and having the right mindset is so important that I learned as being a client. One thing I got as being a client was mastering the long run and sustaining it but not as a progressive run or racing the last mile.
I really discovered my love and passion for running at camp because when I first decided to run cross country, I knew I liked it but I didn’t really know how good I could be. At camp and being a client I felt like I truly found myself and I made so many friendships and connections that have helped me develop as a runner and a person."

"Coach Trent took interest in me from the time I came to camp, and it had nothing to do with what I had done on paper. He took me from a 17:30 kid who couldn’t make a state meet to a guy who was competing for a state title and over two minutes faster, and breaking 9 in the 3200 (8:52)!
He wasn’t just a coach to me he was a mentor and taught me to view life much differently than everyone, he taught me to enjoy the journey and stop looking at the end of the road, and I have taken those words and ran with them in life. I can honestly say I wouldn’t be the man I am today without the guidance of coach Trent."

"Trent and Team Prep USA were able to really help me be competitive at the highest level in running during high school and even helped me regain fitness after a few major injuries.
The program definitely contributed to my 2007 Footlocker National Championship and gave me the confidence and support I needed as a high schooler. The first two years of high school were difficult with being labeled gifted and we had talked about controlling good days vs great days. After not making it through qualifications to nationals sophomore year then getting to spend time with coach Sanderson that following winter and then winning Footlocker Nationals the following fall! Trent and his program are awesome and highly recommended!"

“I was fortunate to meet Trent in 2005 at the ripe age of 13. I wouldn’t have known that first summer in Crested Butte, just how influential Trent would be in my life. His ethos and philosophy didn’t just help me achieve accolades in running or leverage my way into one of the top Universities and running programs in the country – what Trent taught me was much, much greater than that. In life, there are few instances where you encounter someone as passionate and genuinely sound as Trent Sanderson. He’ certainly not just a running coach, he’s a life coach.”
Dena went on to run a 15:52 5k at the Raleigh Relays!

“Trent was extremely influential in elevating my running career to the next level! Trent not only designed training plans that were incredibly detailed and specific to my goals but he also taught me how to pay attention to all of the little details that make a great athlete.
I remember one instance in which I neglected to do my strides one day which threw off my workouts the next few days and Trent helped me to see how all of these details were so important! Trent always motivated me to believe that I had the capability to reach and surpass my own goals and was a key factor in me being able to do so!”

"Coach Sanderson, thank you for pushing me to be the best I can be and never giving up on me (even when I had my diva moments). At every turn you wanted me to reach my full potential and you helped me exceed my own expectation!
I thank you for all the work you put into making me the best I could be. You did all my “long” runs with me because that was my weakness, you tried so hard to encourage healthy eating, I remember you being by my side right until I stepped onto the track before every track meet giving me encouragement and words of wisdom, which was so comforting. Your passion and determination is something I will never forget!
One of the highlights of our partnership was when I got 3rd at indoor Nationals in my sophomore year. You believed in me even when I did not believe in myself. The next year, after you left was a terrible year for me on the track and it just goes to show how big a part you had in my success.
Your influence goes far beyond the track, extending into the classroom, healthy eating, recovery, taking me to Dr and Chiro appointments and instilling such great self confidence. Without you, I would not be the person I am today and would never have achieved any success. For all this and so much more I am so very grateful!"
