Kelli Jennings is a Registered Dietitian with a passion for healthy eating, wellness, & sports nutrition. After graduating from the University of Northern Colorado with a degree in Dietetics, she began her career with a residency and position in Washington DC at George Washington University Hospital. Since returning to Colorado, she founded Apex Nutrition, LLC, a local and online private practice specializing in endurance sports nutrition, disease prevention, and wellness. Kelli has counseled athletes across the country, from amateur to professional, helping them improve their health and athletic performance through daily healthy eating and intentional eating for training. She has studied and worked in a variety of nutrition areas and is accredited by the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Outside of work, Kelli loves living with her husband in Crested Butte, Colorado where she spends her free time backcountry skiing, mountaineering, and participating in endurance mountain bike events. During the summer of 2005, she placed first in a 100K Mountain Bike Race in Durango, Colorado. She has also set her sights on climbing the 54 summits of all of Colorado's 14,000 foot peaks (52 climbed including 7 snow climb/ski descents as of October 2006 - the completion of this project has been delayed with the birth of her 1st child in June 2007!). These activities give her the perfect opportunity to fine-tune her homemade sports drinks, backpacking meal menus, and endurance sports nutrition plans.

Customized nutrition packet with key nutrition recommendations, a mix-and-match meal plan for suggested food choices, recipes, sports nutrition education, and tools to track progress
Initial phone or in-person appointment to discuss goals, the nutrition packet, and plan
Sports Nutrition Education for daily eating, eating for training & competitions, supplement use, race day preparation, and optimal hydration

Team Prep USA / RMXC Camps Training Group Organizer
Coach Lutz is in his 6th year now with the Rocky Mountain Cross Camps/ Team Prep USA
During the season Coach Lutz is a coach with Trinity University, after coaching at Albuquerque (N.M.) Academy for five years. During his seven seasons as an assistant coach, the teams won two state titles and were runner-up three times. In the fall of 2005, he was promoted to head girls cross country coach, and under his direction, the team won its first state title in 12 years as they placed five runners in the top seven at the state meet. Coach Lutz earned District and State Coach of the Year honors in his first season as a head coach. As an assistant with the track team, he coached two girls to multiple individual titles. During the five track seasons, he coached the distance runners to 13 school records. Nine of his former athletes have gone on to be a part of collegiate cross country teams. In the 2.5 years since Lutz arrived at Trinity, his athletes have set 20 school records.
Coach Lutz graduated from Michigan State University in 1998 with a bachelor’s degree in engineering mechanics. During his collegiate athletic career, he earned five varsity letters and competed at the 1995 NCAA Cross Country Championships as a member of the Spartan team. Since becoming a coach in 2001, he has earned coaching certification in USATF Level 1 and Level 2 in endurance events.
Coach Lutz is still a competitive runner, as he has qualified and competed in the last two U.S. Olympic Marathon Trials, finishing 30th in 2004. He has a marathon personal record of 2 hours, 20 minutes, 55 seconds. In 2005, he finished fifth U.S. Marathon Championships, which was his fourth top 10 finish in a national championship race.

Dr. Gloria Beim is a Board certified Orthopaedic Surgeon with specialty fellowship training in shoulder surgery, knee surgery, arthroscopy and sports medicine. Her clinic locations are in Gunnison, Mt. Crested Butte, and Telluride.
Dr. Beim began college at the age of 14. She earned her M.D. at the University of California at San Diego and her Orthopaedic credentials were earned at the New York Orthopaedic Hospital of Columbia Presbyterian University. She then completed her Sports Medicine knee and shoulder fellowship training at the University of Pittsburgh Center for Sports Medicine. In addition to her practice, she is the physician for the United States Track Cycling Team, and a team physician for Western State Athletics. As a Sports Medicine Fellow at the University of Pittsburgh, she was a team physician for the football, wrestling, and gymnastics teams.
Dr. Beim continues to be involved in studies of sports injury and prevention. Her involvement and interest in her specialties have earned her an appointment as a reviewer of the American Journal of Sports Medicine, and she is an active member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine. In addition to publishing in numerous professional journals and textbooks, she is the author of "The Female Athlete's Body Book". She has appeared as an authority in sports medicine in a number of TV newscasts including the Today Show.
Dr. Beim resides in Mt. Crested Butte with her husband Erik, daughter Skylar, and their three dogs. Her hobbies and interests include mountain biking, weight lifting, snow skiing, playing hockey, and horseback riding.

Miller spent her collegiate running years at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. She was team captain from ’06-’08 and received multiple Southeastern Conference All-Academic team honors. On the track, Miller holds the fifth fastest time in school history in the 10,000 meter run, crossing the line in 35:45 at the Stanford Invitational. She was also a regional qualifier in the 5,000 meters, running 16:50 at the University of Tennessee’s Sea Ray Invitational.
After graduating summa cum laude from the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Arts in English, Miller was accepted into the Teach For America program and moved to Los Angeles to teach 12th grade English and AP Language at Lou Dantzler High School. She was also the head men’s and women’s track and field coach. After her 2 year commitment, Miller was hired by Teach For America to manage their college recruitment efforts in the SEC. She currently resides in Nashville, TN.

A high altitude training facility specializing in the fundamental and advanced concepts of athletic performance.
Mr. Fabrocini is also a board certified clinical specialist in orthopedic physical therapy and continues to practice clinically at The Aspen Club Sports Medicine Institute.
He has authored numerous articles on sport training and fitness that have been featured in magazines such as Skiing, Women’s Sports and Fitness, and Shape Magazine along with several medical journals. GUNNISON, COLORADO
Coach Michel's was named the 2007 Division II Men’s Cross Country Coach of the year for her team’s performance. She is the first female to receive this honor for coaching a men’s sport in any NCAA division or sport.
As a college athlete at Western State College of Colorado, Michel earned eight All-American honors in Track and Field and Cross Country. In track and field, Michel won NCAA Division II National Championships in the Steeplechase, 3,000m and Indoor Mile. Michel still holds the National Championship record in the Steeplechase. Her Senior year of Cross Country, she was named the Division II Cross Country runner of the year.
After graduating from Western State with a degree in History and Secondary Education in 2001, Michel went on to qualify for the USATF Championships in the steeplechase in 2001 and 2002, as well as the 5000 meters in 2002. She was also selected to run on US road racing championships in Beijing, China and Yokohama, Japan.
While competing as a post-collegiate athlete, Michel was an assistant coach for the Western State Cross Country and Track and Field programs until taking over as the Head Coach for the Distance programs in the fall of 2007. Western State has a strong tradition in Cross Country with 7 NCAA Division II titles for the men and three titles for the women since 1995.
In her first year as Head Coach for the Western State Mountaineers, the men went on to win the NCAA North Central Region and the women placed second. At the national championships, the men placed 2nd by a mere 7 points and the women were 6th.
